Look # 1. Don’t be scared of experiments.
Every girl most certainly has one incredibly trendy thing in her wardrobe which her boyfriend or husband hates. Unfortunately, most of the men dream to see us wearing only elegant Alaïa dresses and they absolutely do not care about any of fashion trends.
Well, I had in my wardrobe silver Chanel platform keds. My husband, Patrick in every possible way had been giving ironic hints that I had better not wear it in public. However, as time shown their moment of triumph came true.
When preparing for Chanel fashion show this year I decided to compile incompatible outfit. I was hunting for the airy Chloé skirt all over the globe since I had seen this fabulous white cloud on a fashion show. To tell you a secret, I had to buy FR size 36 and to adjust it with a belt to a smaller size. Belt by my favorite Italian Dolce & Gabbana duet seemed to be created only for summer dresses with blossoming cherry prints. However I decided to prove that even such hardly compatible belt could be multi-functional (I imagine astonishment of the deer on my Givenchy sweatshirt). Finally all this trendy “mess” was completed by Chanel accessories (I hope you did not forget which fashion show I was going to after all). And right, there I found a use of my lovely keds.
When I came back from Paris I showed pictures to my husband. Despite he is not conservative at all and can see the difference between Pucci and Missoni in a second, I expected to hear ambiguous feedback from him about this look. But what do you think? It turned out to be one of his most favorite looks, which I ever have worn in Paris fashion weeks. Even my favorite keds seemed to him not so ugly and disgusting anymore.
Do not be afraid of experiments, and your boyfriend would probably become fashion expert sometime.
