Craving for some not typical Italian food? Then you definitely need to check out my recent discovery – 4Leoni Firenze.
The trattoria offers the best dishes prepared from Tuscan products. Better come hungry and don’t you dare to leave feeling light!
My personal favourite “primi piati”: pasta with the duck (even though it sounds unusual, tender meat almost melting in your mouth leaving beautiful aftertaste of the spices) and pasta with white pork ragu (don’t be scared of the meat type, it’s delicious). Keep also in mind that all pasta cooked manually with lots of love directly in trattoria. If you are not ready for the pasta as a starter, try their famous “Tartara di chianina”, which they will prepare next to your table.
For the main course my personal suggestion is “Tagliata con carciofi” which will perfectly fit together with patate arrosto (roast potatoes) and baked artichokes (yes, yes I know that the meat goes with artichokes already, but these ones are different). Although, if you came with a big company you should definitely try “La bisteca Fiorentina” which the chef will cut and weight in front of you according to your preferences.
My advice – book a table on the website in advance since this place is cosy but still tiny. Of course dont forget homemade deserts accompanied with limoncello and enjoy “dolce far niente” the way Tuscan people do.
